Featuring a design inspired by the Cobra and Mamba generation 4, alongside optimised batteries, Viper offers a perfect balance between brightness and comfort, whether you are running, cycling, or working in demanding environments. With a weight of only 85 grams, a brightness of up to 2700 lumens, and a unique beam pattern featuring our proprietary X-pand technology, it is hard not to be impressed.

Program your Viper

  1. To enter programming mode, press the power switch four times quickly. The light will illuminate. 
  1. Press once more. The light will flash the same number of times as the current programming mode. One flash corresponds to mode one, and so on. 
  1. Steer to the desired position using short presses of the power switch. Wait for each blink sequence before the next press.  
  1. To lock the selected mode, press and hold the power switch until the light turns off. 

Drift time  

The table below shows approximate operating times with a standard battery. If a longer operating time is desired, the lamp can be supplemented with LEDX Lights batteries with higher capacity. Programmable operating modes, as well as power consumption and operating time at the different power modes, apply to a fully charged battery and at approximately 20°C.

MX

The MX mode is primarily intended for connection to vehicles, but can be connected to all types of external power sources (12V). The light turns on when it receives power. The warranty applies if the LEDX protective cable is used for connection. Shall not be used with battery.  

Boost

The Boost mode is intended for users who want to easily switch between good light with a longer burn time, and the absolute brightest light with a shorter burn time. Developed with MTB cycling and ski touring in mind.

Stamina

Endurance mode is designed for users who want the longest possible battery life, while still having the option to switch to a strong light for short periods. Specifically developed for long-distance running and similar activities.  

High-Low

The hi-lo mode has a simplified function with only 2 power levels, adapted for intense activities where adjusting the lamp should not affect your focus. The levels can be compared to the main and dipped beam on a car. 

Standard

The lamp's preset mode, which is adapted to suit many different uses.

OPTIMAL FIELD OF LUMINANCE

Our proprietary X-pand technology provides a balanced and comfortable light pattern (or cone) that feels natural to use. The light starts at the feet, spreads wide to the sides while the focal point reaches far, with a smooth transition between the focal point and the rest of the light pattern. This provides a restful and glare-free light that is as close to daylight as you can get. With Viper, for example, you can comfortably read a map, even on the highest power setting. X-pand gives you the right amount of light in the right place.

1 HR 10 MINS – 55 HRS BATTERY LIFE

The Viper has up to five different power modes, ranging from 3% to 100%, providing a battery life of up to 55 hours. At full power, the torch shines for 1 hour and 10 minutes. On delivery, the torch has three pre-set modes: 20%, 40% and 100%.

PERFECT BALANCE WITH NEW BATTERIES

LEDX Lights has always striven to manufacture lightweight headtorches with good balance. With the Headgear Air LX (162-7), both the lamp and battery are worn on the head. Thanks to the streamlined and rounded design, the battery rests closer to the back of the head and provides better weight distribution.

RED LED FOR NIGHT VISION

Viper has been equipped with a new red LED for those who want to maintain night vision. The red light is gentle on the eyes and preserves your natural dark adaptation, which is appreciated for example when orienteering and when you want to be able to read the map without disturbing others. The red LED can be used with both fixed and pulsed light.

Weighing just 85 grams, with a brightness of up to 2700 lumens and a unique beam pattern featuring our proprietary X-pand technology, it is hard not to be impressed. Like Viper's larger siblings, Cobra and Mamba, the button is located on the front of the lamp and is easy to press in all situations, even with gloves on. A new feature of Viper is its red LED with both static and pulsing light, for those who want to preserve their night vision.

Batteries

The new batteries developed for the Viper are more compact, ergonomic and perfectly balanced. With the Headgear Air LX (135-30), both the lamp and battery are worn on the head. Thanks to the streamlined and rounded design, the battery rests more closely against the back of the head and provides better weight distribution.

Viper is available with two different batteries, 25 Wh and 38 Wh. 

  • With the 25 Wh battery, the Viper illuminates up to 1,600 lumens for 1 hour and 43 minutes and 2,200 lumens for 1 hour and 5 minutes using the boost function.
  • With the 38 Wh battery, it outputs 2200 lumens for 1 hour and 45 minutes, and up to 2700 lumens for 1 hour and 10 minutes using the boost function.

 Programmable effect

Viper is delivered in programme mode 5, which has three different power modes; 20, 40 and 100%. A double press of the button activates the boost function and increases the brightness by 500 lumens. See the manual for all programme modes. The lamp has a safety lock that automatically reduces the brightness if it gets too hot and risks being damaged.
